Fountain Hills, AZ – Lace up those sneakers, fluff your feathers, and prepare to trot! Registration is officially OPEN for the 2025 Turkey Trot 5K and Fitness Walk, presented by The Pellegrini Group (MCO Realty).
The popular event is set for Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the heart of beautiful downtown Fountain Hills. The run and walk begin promptly at 7:15am. (REGISTER here).
This fun, family-friendly tradition is a perfect way to kick off your holiday, with a little movement before the mashed potatoes. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just want to show off your best turkey costume, there's a place for everyone at the start line.
“Each year, the Turkey Trot brings our community together in such a fun and energetic way,” said Recreation Manager Ryan Preston. “Get Ready to Gobble, Wobble, and Run!”
Additionally, this year features the Mayor’s Challenge. Fountain Hills Mayor Gerry Friedel is pledging to donate $1 to Extended Hands Food Bank for every participant who posts a faster time than him.
“I’ve never been more excited to give away money,” Mayor Friedel said. “We hope you sign up, join us for some fun, and help out a good cause along the way.”
The 5K run is chip-timed for those who like to strut their speed, while the 1-mile fitness walk is perfect for participants of all ages. Early bird pricing runs through November 6th. Early packet pickup is underway, with packets available at Town Hall during normal business hours.
