Fountain Hills, AZ (January 28th, 2026) - The Town of Fountain Hills is proud to announce the launch of the E.Y.E.S. (Enhancing Your Everyday Security) program, a new partnership between residents and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) designed to strengthen neighborhood safety and crime prevention efforts.

The E.Y.E.S. program invites residents to voluntarily register the location of their privately owned security cameras with MCSO. This information enables deputies to quickly identify potential video resources in the event of a nearby criminal incident, helping to expedite investigations while fully respecting residents’ privacy and control. Registration does not grant live access to cameras or obligate homeowners to share footage; the decision to assist with any investigation remains entirely up to the individual.

“Fountain Hills has always been one of Arizona’s safest and most welcoming communities,” said Mayor Gerry M. Friedel. “With the E.Y.E.S. program, we’re giving our residents an easy way to support law enforcement, strengthen neighborhood watch efforts, and further protect the people and places we care about most.”

The E.Y.E.S. program enhances the Town’s existing crime prevention strategies by building on citizens’ awareness and positive engagement with law enforcement.

“Our deputies serve every day to protect life and property across Fountain Hills,” said Captain Kevin Thomas with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Fountain Hills District. “By participating in the E.Y.E.S. program, residents give us valuable information that can make a difference when time is critical. We appreciate this proactive step and the trust our community places in us to work together.”

Residents interested in participating in the program can learn more and complete a camera registration form by heading to FountainHillsAZ.Gov/EYES.
