The leaders for the Reclaim Our Town (ROT) 2024 Referendum Filing for the Four Peaks Plaza, the two petitions commonly referred to as the rezoning to allow for the construction of an apartment complex at the Target Shopping Center, and the petition against the associated freestanding monument sign plan, are scheduled to drop off their signatures for verification with the Town Clerk on Friday, Feb. 16 at 2:00 p.m. By the Arizona Revised Statutes, any person who wishes to withdraw their name from either petition may do so between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. the same day at the Community Center, located at 13001 N. La Montana Drive.
ARS 19-113. Withdrawal of petition signature; payment of remuneration; violation; classification
A. A person who has signed a petition prescribed by statute for any candidate nomination, initiative, referendum, recall or formation or modification of a county, municipality or district may withdraw the person's signature from the petition not later than 5:00 p.m. on the date the petition containing the person's signature is actually filed. A person who has signed a recall petition may withdraw the person's signature from the petition not later than 5:00 p.m. on the date the petition containing the person's signature is actually submitted for verification pursuant to section 19-203.
