Last year, Republic Services annual bulk trash collection service had delays due to unexpected amounts of material put out by Fountain Hills residents. To ensure these issues are more easily managed, Republic Services is adding an additional three days to each route.
The 2024 bulk trash collection starts March 4 and will continue for nine weeks through May 1. The typical items which are considered bulk are typically too large to be disposed of in your regular curbside trash container. To help you get rid of these large items, Republic Services offers easy bulk trash pickup for recycling or disposal, so you don’t have to haul them to a landfill. Bulk items typically include: couches, lamps, rugs, mattresses, large appliances without freon, and landscaping debris, except cactus.
