There is a total lunar eclipse occurring on Sunday night, May 15, starting at 7:12 p.m., and it will be full at 9:11 p.m. To celebrate the event, and because it makes for great photos, the fountain will run continuously from 8 -11 p.m. on May 15.

This full moon is called the Flower Moon. Popular names for May’s full moon include the Planting Moon and the Milk Moon, but the Flower Moon is the most common. The name Flower Moon recognizes the blooming of wildflowers and garden flowers, many giving an enchanting appearance in the light of May’s full moon.
