Please join us as we honor former Mayor Sharon Morgan and dedicate “Sharon Morgan Plaza.”
Sharon was elected as the first female mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills in 1998 and served a total of four years with her re-election in 2000. Through her work with the Chamber of Commerce over the past 29 years Sharon, with the Chamber, has grown the fall Fountain Festival and the spring Great Fair into renowned events which has 500+ artists per show. Sharon has been the key to the success of the two Chamber fairs for more than 25 years. In honor of her service and dedication to the Town of Fountain Hills, a portion of the Avenue of the Fountain Plazas will be named Morgan Park.
A brief ceremony and unveiling will be held at the plaza (eastern end of the Avenue of the Fountains) at 4:30pm on Thursday, November 1st, with remarks from current Mayor Linda M. Kavanagh. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us in celebrating Sharon’s many contributions to this Town at the plaza dedication ceremony.
