Daytime Classes

Basic Beginner Line Dancing

Course #3555. Meets every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 am (This class runs from January to December) Registration opens for January 2026 on November 3rd, 2025 - 8:00 am.

This class is designed as a 1-year program for those new to line dance. The first class begins in January. This class will move at a slower pace than previous beginner classes in Fountain Hills, hoping that those who believe they have two left feet, will be shocked to find out they CAN dance. This class will emphasize learning basic steps with detailed demonstrations that will then be danced to lots of different music. Current line dance is definitely not just country music anymore. This class will make you smile, help make new friends, and help you realize that it's never too late to try something new! By the end of the year the class will have mastered approximately 55 basic line dance steps, preparing dancers to move on to Improver level line dance class. Basic beginner students may move on to the Improver class at any time; they are not required to finish out the year program. A 2026 Community Center membership is required. The Basic Beginner Line Dancing class will be taught by Pam Vaccaro.

Intermediate Line Dancing

Course #3322. Meets every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

This class is designed for those who have a real dedication and interest in line dancing. The music may be faster and the dances may incorporate more turns and complex steps/patterns. Different styles of line dance (cha-cha, nightclub) and music theory will also be explored. A solid knowledge of steps and line dance terminology is a must. The pace of this class will be steady with learning a new dance or two each month. Practice and consistent attendance will make this class most enjoyable!! Community Center Membership is required to participate. This class is taught by Pam Cueny.

Improver Line Dancing

The dances will be a mix of classic and new Improver dances that can be requested at other social dancing workshops or venues. Hugely popular new beginner dances will be taught also for a couple weeks to keep the Improver group up to date. This is a drop-in class with Community Center membership being required. Dances will be a mix of classic and new Improver dances taught with detailed demonstrations followed by musical accompaniment. Occasionally, a hugely popular new beginner dance may be taught to keep the Improver group up-to-date. This is a drop-in class taught by Paige Chadwick. Community Center membership is required. Registration is not required.

Advanced Class: Course #3417; Tuesdays, 11:30 am-1:00 pm.

This class is designed for those who wish to push themselves past their comfort zone and want the challenge of learning at least one advanced dance per week.
