New at the Community Center: Spooner Physical Therapy is bringing a fresh, hands-on approach to your health and wellness! Their team will now offer monthly one-on-one Injury Screenings January through April.
*Personalized attention: Each 15-minute session focuses on your specific concern. *Professional insight: Meet directly with a Spooner physical therapist for expert feedback. *Preventive care: Learn how to address minor aches before they become bigger issues. *Convenient and accessible: Held at the Community Center on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with up to 3 participants per session. Pre-registration needed. Community Center membership required.
For exercise programs, participants must bring their own hand weights, stretch band, mat, and water.

New to yoga? Yoga-curious? Then this is the class for you! Whether seated in a chair, standing, or lying on your yoga mat, “Simple Yoga Breathing and Stretching” can result in more energy, sounder sleep, better digestion and elimination, easing of aches and pains, enhanced flexibility, and greater lung capacity. Designed and led by Denise Rucci, certified yoga instructor with 20 years of experience, this twice-a-week practice will delight and surprise you at how easily you experience the results! Please pre-register, space is limited. Community Center membership is required.
Essentrics, Aging Backwards

Eccentrics is an age-reversing, full-body workout. This slow-paced workout restores movement in your joints, flexibility in your muscles, relieves pain, stimulates your cells to increase energy and boosts your immune system. Combines elements of tai chi, ballet, and physiotherapy.

Beginner Chair Essentrics
A fun, easy-to-follow Essentrics class designed for individuals with mobility issues. This chair-based class focuses on improving overall health, flexibility, and range of motion while gently strengthening muscles and reducing the risk of joint injury. Please bring your own water. Meditation
Community Center membership is not required. Cost is $50 unless noted for 4 sessions. Instructor is Virginia Long, Certified Meditation and Mindfulness & Yoga Nidra (US and India). Chairs provided. If you prefer floor, bring your own mat, props and blanket.

Geri-Fit
The February 2017 issue of Clinical Interventions in Aging reported adults age 65+ that participated in the Geri-Fit® program showed an 80.8% improvement in balance over a 90-day period.
