Remote and In-Person Hearings

The Arizona Supreme Court allows hearings in the Fountain Hills Municipal Court to be held in a presumptive manner. These hearings are held due to limitations in local court resources, bandwidth, technology hardware, software, and staffing or, for a good cause, to meet unique needs unless the judicial officer makes a hearing-specific deviation from the presumptive manner if holding the hearing presumptively is not practical or otherwise not in the interest of justice. The court must notify the parties when such an alternative is utilized.

Important Information regarding our remote hearing process:

-You must file a motion first, and it must be granted before you may attend your hearing remotely.

-We only use ZOOM for remote hearings, no other application will be authorized.

-You will receive a hearing notice with the Court date and time. If a remote appearance is approved, all the information will be provided on the hearing notice, including the passcode to enter the Zoom Hearing (please do not share this passcode with anyone else). You are responsible for attending the Zoom Hearing on the date/time provided.

-You may click on one of the Zoom links below, depending on which day your hearing falls on. You will enter your name as it appears on your citation and be placed in a virtual lobby. You will be admitted into the hearing when the Judge is ready.

-Be prepared to provide your contact information including, mailing address, phone number, and email address to court personnel.

-Be prepared to present documents such as a valid driver's license, current registration, and proof of insurance.

-Unless otherwise instructed this remote appearance is for your first appearance in court to resolve civil traffic or local civil code violations. If you have been charged with a criminal offense, the Judge may grant certain hearings to be held via Zoom.
