The Town of Fountain Hills is proud to announce the 17th Annual Make a Difference Day, taking place on Saturday, October 18, 2025. This special day is dedicated to bringing the community together with a mission of helping neighbors in need.
As preparations begin, the Town is currently seeking project requests from Fountain Hills residents who may need assistance with small home improvement or clean-up tasks. If you or someone you know is experiencing age-related challenges, health or mobility issues, or other life circumstances that make it difficult to maintain a home, this is an opportunity to receive meaningful help, and it is all free of charge.
Dedicated teams of local volunteers will be available to assist with a variety of light projects, including:
- Minor home repairs
- Exterior wheelchair ramp construction
- Light landscaping or yard work
- Home cleaning and organization
- Shed and garage clean-outs
- Debris removal
The deadline to submit a work project request is Monday, September 1, 2025.
Forms are available at both Town Hall and the Community Center, or you can contact Volunteer Supervisor Kim Wickland at kwickland@fountainhillsaz.gov.
“Make a Difference Day is about more than just completing projects, it’s about connecting people and building community,” Wickland said. “If you’re in a situation where you could use some help, we truly encourage you to reach out. This event exists to support our neighbors.”
Volunteer registration will open on Monday, August 11, and additional details will be made available on the Town’s website.
