Town of Fountain Hills Joins America 250 Celebration

The Town of Fountain Hills is thrilled to unveil its plans to celebrate America 250, marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This year promises to be fun, festive, and full of patriotic pride as Fountain Hills joins the nation in honoring America’s history.

With events and activities designed for all ages, Fountain Hills will highlight the spirit of community that makes the Town special. From themed decorations to interactive experiences, there’s something for everyone!

Highlights of Fountain Hills’ America 250 Celebration include patriotic Avenue of the Fountains banners which crews are installing Thursday, January 29th and offer a commemorative vibe throughout the downtown. 

Additionally, the Town is creating an America 250 Selfie & Photo Spot at Fountain Park, producing Commemorative T-Shirts, a patriotic Movie in the Park on April 25th, and a youth Visual Arts & Essay Contest. 

The Town’s signature Fourth at the Fountain event will see an enhanced experience this Independence Day. Big details are coming soon!

“America 250 gives us a wonderful chance to celebrate 250 years of freedom and pride,” said Mayor Gerry Friedel. “Fountain Hills embodies some of the best ideals of our nation, and we are thrilled to join in on the fun!”

The Town will also incorporate commemorative America 250 elements into some regularly scheduled events. 

“This milestone is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all of us to celebrate our history while helping pave the way for a bright future for generations to come,” said Community Relations Director Mike Pelton.
