[ARCHIVED] Building Materials and Dumpsters in the Road Make for Hazardous Driving

The Town of Fountain Hills is an International Dark Sky Community. When MCO designed our town, street lights were required to have shields to force the light downward, as well as there are fewer lights.  When items such as landscape materials, dumpsters, moving pods, and building materials are placed in the road right-of-way without permits or safety barricades, they can be challenging for drivers to see.

Residences and Businesses can apply for an Encroachment Permit before putting anything on the road right-of-way using the Town’s Online Permitting and Planning System (TOPPS). To access TOPPS on the Town’s website, go to www.fountainhillsaz/TOPPS. Encroachment Permits are granted on a case-by-case basis.
