Growing Greener

Growing Greener
The Town of Fountain Hills is working to become even greener. The Town is scheduling ongoing recycling events, applying green requirements to residential and commercial development and is looking for new ideas to reduce our impact on the environment. The Town is also encouraging its citizens to be green and provides information to its residents and businesses on how to help.
Green Fridays

Green Fridays

The Town Council voted to keep in place the 4 day work week at Town Hall of 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday. These Customer Convenience Hours provide increased access to those who work outside of the community or want to conduct business at Town Hall outside of standard business hours and help protect the environment on Fridays.

Law enforcement and the fire department remain open on Friday, as they are imperative to public safety, as well as the Community Center and Senior Activity Center. All other Town Hall offices are closed on Friday to accommodate increased hours the other 4 days of the week.

Green Fridays also reduces the number of cars commuting to and from Fountain Hills, which cuts down on emissions and improves air quality. In addition, the Town is seeing a reduction in energy bills, water usage and other necessities as key portions of the building not utilized 1 additional day a week.
